Experimental Architect Lebbeus Woods was an early deconstructive influence on me. His uncensored style strongly challenges convention and he was undoubtedly one of the influential fathers of Deconstructivism in architecture. It has always fascinated me how his explicitly disruptive vision and uncompromising philosophy which inspired so many, probably also isolated him professionally.
An interesting article introducing Lebbeus Woods titled ‘An Architect Unshackled by Limits of the Real World‘ was published 4 years ago by the New York Times.
An academic, Lebbeus Woods openly discusses and critiques the works of other architects on his blog. In a recent post he challenges the design of new Aquatic Center for the 2012 Olympics in London by Zaha Hadid.
