I’m a nerd..I’ve been collecting these images of shoe parts over the last few years and its probably time I did something with them.
The following images are fascinating to me because they show every part of the shoe, including those that are hidden during construction.
The images show a visual design inventory where every part of the shoe is revealed so you can get a sense of just how much design potential a shoe has, not just in the parts that are visible. And by appreciating what makes up the guts of the shoe I think you can also begin to understand where there are opportunities for consolidation and a more sustainable design.
